ChatGPT Surpasses 300 Million Weekly Active Users
The popular AI-based software ChatGPT has surpassed the milestone of 300 million weekly active users, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman confirmed at the New York Times DealBook Summit. According to The Verge, Altman shared that ChatGPT users send over 1 billion messages daily.
Altman remarked, “Our product is now experiencing widespread global adoption. We are committed to improving people’s work experiences through AI technology.”
Since its launch in 2022, ChatGPT has gained rapid popularity. After reaching 200 million weekly active users in August, it has added another 100 million users within just a few months.
To meet user demands, OpenAI continues to introduce new features. ChatGPT now includes an AI-powered search engine that retrieves relevant information from the web and presents it in a simplified manner. Additionally, a new "Canvas" interface has been introduced, allowing users to easily edit their generated code.
Apple has also taken significant strides in AI integration. Through the iOS 18.2 update, Apple has directly connected Siri with ChatGPT. Currently in its beta version, this feature is expected to further expand ChatGPT’s reach.
